AECT Standards Alignment Matrix

The Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) established a set of professional standards to guide preparation and evaluation of instructional design and educational technology professionals. These standards emphasize competency-based skills, ethical practice, and effective integration of technology in learning environments.The following matrix illustrates how five key assessments completed throughout my Master of Education in Educational Technology program align with the AECT professional standards. Each artifact demonstrates the application of instructional design principles, educational technology, assessment, research, and professional practice. An X indicates that an artifact provides evidence of meeting the corresponding performance indicator.
